Toni Gavrilovic
Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Toni Gavrilovic studied rock /classical guitar for a number of years under “Bill Katsioutas” on the Danforth since the age of 12. He has been playing guitar for over 20 years and teaching for 11 years. Toni has played in numerous bands, has done session work, music for television shows and commercials. Over the years, he has taught well over 500 students and has a number of students in rock bands in the Toronto area. Along side his musical education and experience, Toni also studied Computer Programming at Humber College and continues to keep up to date with what’s new in technology. This combined knowledge has given him an edge in new techniques in recording, new tools to customize teaching methods and better ways to communicate with students. His creative musical influences range from artists like David Bowie, Prince, Sly and the Family Stone to Dream Theater and Metric. Toni has a unique ability to play any style of music and teach you how to play your favorite tune without losing the quality in techniques and music theory. Through observation, hands on experience, listening to students of all ages, listening to teachers and parents, Toni felt it was time for him to open a school to fulfill the current demand of what is actually expected of a music school but is lacking in the schools today!
Andrea Gavrilovic
Although it wasn’t a career choice, Andrea has always had a passion for music at an early age. Influenced by her father’s own passion for music, listening to bands like The Eagles, Elton John, Paul Simon, Billy Joel and the Beatles, Andrea was always encouraged to take music lessons in school. Andrea took lessons in Keyboard, Violin, Guitar and Vocal and had always been involved in choirs and singing competitions. Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Andrea Gavrilovic has spent most of her life working in the Retail industry. At the age of 13, she helped her parents open up a Record Store in Mississauga, Ontario. Having admired her Mother’s keen business sense, she later continued her studies at Humber College in Business Management while working as a sales associate at The Hudson’s Bay Company. Upon completion of her studies, Andrea continued to work her way through The Bay Retail stores, Credit office and the Corporate Office. She finally branched off to an affiliated Sales and Marketing Company where she continued to learn the other side of the Merchandising industry. Although having enjoyed a varied and well rounded business career, her first and primary passion in life has always been music. She felt music did not hold prevalence in elementary school curriculum. It was viewed upon as a hobby but not as a career. To fulfill her love for music, she is now ready to use her vast business experience and bring it into a Music School that can fulfill other people’s needs whether it is for a personal or career goal.

With Toni’s strong background in Teaching, Performance, Music and Technology and Andrea’s extensive business experience in Customer Service, Administration, Buying, Marketing and Management, this husband and wife team has the perfect formula to open a school such as “ The Rock School.”.
