Lessons

Our Instructors
We take the time to choose instructors with University / College/ RCM education, they are actively performing and are well experienced with teaching technique, sight-reading, theory, the fundamentals of music rudiments and teaching all styles of music to students of all ages (from ages 4 to 80).  Most importantly – all of our teachers have **Patience** - students all learn differently and we customize all of our lessons to each individuals level of difficulty and pace.  We take the initiative to ensure all of our instructors pass background checks prior to employment.

One recording session included in all Private Lessons
One Recording Session will be scheduled into a regular class. After 4 terms (16 weeks), when the instructor feels the student is ready, they will schedule a recording session during one of the regular classes. The instructor will accompany the student into our in-house recording studio where one song will be recorded on to a CD. The student then can track their progress and has their own demo to play for their friends and family!

The Royal Conservatory
For those who wish to participate in the RCM Exams, our instructors are qualified to prepare students with the required RCM Syllabus.

Performance – Recitals / Concerts
Although not required, students will be encouraged to play in scheduled recitals and concerts. Performance is an extraordinary experience where a student can express themselves to their audience.

During the year, recitals, performances and concerts will be scheduled in local venues around Brampton and the surrounding areas.

Each Recital/Concert will be broken down into different age groups and matched to the appropriate venue.

Private Lessons
Unless otherwise specified, Private lessons are taken for a ½ hr. once a week; these lessons are one-on-one instruction.  We always encourage communication between instructor, student and staff to get the most out of the musical learning experience.  These lessons are customized to what ever the individual wants to learn – some students just want to learn to play their favorite songs, some also want to learn sight reading – what ever the case we will adjust the lesson plan accordingly.

Although not required, when starting lessons, students may request written progress reports from their instructor.
